The 2023 CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) results have been released, and GIS is proud to announce the following achievements:
Awarded Leadership Level (A-) in Supplier Engagement
Upgraded to Management Level (B) in the Climate Change category
Earned Leadership scores in the areas of Energy, Governance, and Scope1, 2, and 3 emissions
Since joining the CDP program in 2022, GIS has actively advanced its climate disclosure practices by adopting the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. Through the TCFD structure, GIS has established a robust process for identifying and disclosing climate-related information, demonstrating its strong commitment and tangible progress in sustainability.
Recognizing the critical role of the value chain in achieving global net-zero goals, GIS is extending its influence to downstream partners. Internally, GIS has implemented packaging reduction initiatives and committed to an absolute 42% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions by 2030, along with achieving 100% renewable electricity usage by the same year.
To further support upstream engagement, GIS launched a supplier climate questionnaire to raise awareness and accelerate net-zero transformation across the entire value chain.
GIS remains dedicated to sustainability leadership through action, transparency, and collaboration.
